Tell us a bit about yourself?
I’m Billie from Billiegeena.co.uk a 21 year old blogger based in Sheffield. I will go incredibly out of my way to pet a dog if I see one when I’m out and about, I also have a pug and a tortoise.
When did you first start blogging and why?
I first started blogging 3 years ago, which was a beauty/ranting about my life blog thankfully that site has gone now and I really found my feet with the blogging world now. I started blogging just as a way to keep been creative and to share my thoughts and opinions with the world.
How long have you had Toby? Is he your first pet?
Toby has been with us for 4 years, and he fit in so well with our family right away. Toby does have a an older brother, Joey the Guard Tortoise, Toby the first dog we ever had but he’s more like a cat at time. He just wants to sleep and chill out, whereas the tortoise heads to the door every time someone comes round. It’s a totally weird.
What’s the funniest/most mischievous thing he has ever done?
Toby is by far the daftest dog on the planet, my favourite memory has to be the time he fell in the pond. I’ll have to give you some back story here, Toby loves birds, he will happily run around our garden trying to jump and catch birds. If a bird landed in the near him he wouldn’t know what to do.
So one saturday last summer, Toby had been to the groomers he had the full works done, he was so clean. For most of the day he was sunbathing in our garden, happy as Larry. Then a huge magpie landed on our fence, Toby couldn’t contain his excitement, he shot up.
Started speeding around our garden, the 100 mile an hour pug. He tried jumping up the walls, climbing the fence anything he could do to get near this bird. He then had the bright idea to jump up onto our pond wall, to try to jump the 5 foot fence, because a 1 foot tall pug can do that. He ended up belly flopping into the pond. It’s one of those you have to be there moment things.
What’s the best thing about owning a pet, what makes him so loveable?
Toby is just lovable because he’s so innocent, he’s perfect. The best part of having a pet is the companionship I get from him, he’s my best friend.
Finally, can you tell us your favourite story about Toby?
My favourite story of Toby was the day we got him, we went to pick him up from the breeder and was driving him home he was so scared in the crate we put him in while in the car. I took him out and just help him, and he stopped crying. He just got cosy in my arms, it was so sweet, I will never forget that day. I didn’t believe he was real to start with.
