We're Supporting Camp Nibble in August

Camp Nibble is a registered charity run on an entirely voluntary basis from our own home, and the homes of our trusted fosterers. We rescue and re-home mostly rabbits alongside many other small animal species. We consider our own pets to be family members. Therefore, we find it unbearable to imagine that other small animals are living in conditions in which they are scared, neglected and unloved.

We are passionate about animal welfare in general. However, rabbit welfare has become the focus of Camp Nibble as a charity in response to what we consider to be is a serious rabbit welfare crisis. (rabbits have sadly been identified as the most misunderstood and neglected pet in the UK!)

All of our rescue rabbits are neutered vaccinated and receive any necessary vet care prior to re-homing.  As a no-kill shelter we inevitably end up with animals who can’t be re-homed due to complex health, or behavioural problems. These special needs animals are given permanent sanctuary, and become much loved members of the Camp Nibble family receiving any vet care support that they may need for as long as they have a quality of life.

We are always very happy to give help and support to new owners before, during and after adoption. A very important part of our work is helping the public better understand how to properly meet the needs of their rabbits, and working towards reducing the numbers of rabbits entering rescue shelters.

In Oct 2015 (much to our surprise) we were named UK ‘Points of Light’ by the Prime Minister for our voluntary work rescuing animal.

There are many ways in which you can help us to continue helping small animals in need. We are extremely grateful for your support.
